Dear sir, Let me share with you a story. My friend Major (retd) Ahmad Khan Nayyer was found dead at hid petrol pump located between Khushab and Shahpur. As the body was picked up by his family, the scene was washed away by the the workers on instructions from one of relatives of deceased. His body was taken to his house at Jauharabad. The family decided not to opt for postmortem and toled the people that he had committed suicide by shooting himself in neck. After janaza he was burried in the ancesstral grave yard at his native village Suraki (Soon Vally). All this happened so sudden that any one who heard was stunned. I was curious to know as to what happened to the blessed soul. He left the Army as a major in 1997 after love marriage to a lady doctor from his village having divorced his wife. He had set up three petrol pumps and a hospital for his wife in this short span of time and was aspiring to run for next election. One didnt find any apparant reason for such a drastic step to take his own life. The Police was kept way from any investigation and probabely they also wanted to distance from the case as the perpetrators could be highly influential. The brother of deceased being a serving senior army officer declined to pursue the case as his daughter is married in the family of inlaws of the deceased and was probabley pressurised for obvious reasons. As they say blood speaks itself. The story has come out through one of the maids of deceased family. The lady narrated that Major Sahib's children were staying at Wah with their aunt, who was living in the house bought to them by Major Sahib, who was paying heavily for the services in the form of medical education for two children of the sister in law. Of late the sister in law wanted finances for the daughter getting admitted in medical college on self finance basis. Major Sahib refused that and got his children back to Jauharabad a month back. On that day his wife asked for money as he had just sold the house in Askri at Lahore. That was declined by Major sahib whemently. The wife got furious and grabbed him and slapped him. The deceased slapped her in turn and divorced her. On seeing this the father in law stated slapping him, and the driver also joined the furry. They pushed him into a room. and after a while Dr Rubeena (wife of deceased) came out and toled the maid to leave the house immediately. After one hour his body was recovered from the Pump and news of committing suicide came up. It was strange the his white shalwar Qameez didnt have a spot of blood and so was the sofa clear of ant blood stain on which he is narrated to keep the rifle while shooting himslf. Moreover, the rifle was found placed over his chest, a phenomenen not expected of a shot gun that jumps when fired that too kept against foam sofa. The questions are still unanswered. The Police is unfortunately not trying to find out simple facts.................Who knows, he was killed elsewhere and braught dead to create scene of suicide? OR he was killed at petrol pump and then disinformation was spread. The amusing part of story is that he had paid for the four Kanal house of his father in law but legal transaction of house was yet to take place. He was resisting share hodling proposal by his brother in law. He was paying for self financed education of his childeren of his sister in law and had just threatened to discontinue.
